Technologies for production of hydraulic cylinder parts
Eurobalt Engineering provides a smart way to produce hydraulic cylinder parts
Hydraulic cylinder industry
Hydraulic cylinder industry is growing rapidly in 2019, and, with increasing demand, competition is growing as well. The modern trend in this area of business is outsourcing metal parts production to professional subcontractors – companies that can deliver a full set of metal hydraulic cylinder parts, such as hydraulic cylinder piston, cylinder head, hydraulic cylinder piston rod, telescopic piston, cap end of cylinder, cylinder Head Glands and other parts. Outsourced parts are used for assembly of hydraulic cylinders, they have to meet requirements of the drawings and be delivered strictly in time. Eurobalt Engineering, located in in the city of Tallinn, Estonia, is a leading company in this area.
Outsourcing of metal parts should be reasonable price-wise, that is why Eurobalt Engineering has its own smart way to produce parts.
First, we use a combination of several technologies to achieve the best possible price and quality solutions.
We can take the production of parts such as hydraulic cylinder glands or hydraulic cylinder pistons as an example. Usually these parts are just machined, but in our case production process is divided into three main stages.
The first stage is production of semi-finished blanks by using forging technology. At our workshop we produce blanks up to 5kg of weight, and with a full scale production going on we can reduce material waste up to 30% (as compared with machining of a rod or tube). Forged components have better properties than the components made of blank steel.
The second stage is machining of blanks. The core of our machining workshop is 8 CNC machining centers and 21 CNC lathe machines, working two shifts and producing a variety of components for the hydraulic cylinder industry.
The third operation is to recycle waste material, which allows us to have a particular compensation for the material used.
Quality control is performed during first and second stages of production.
All production facilities belong to Eurobalt Engineering, so we are fully in charge of each production process.
Following this technological cycle, our company is able to keep prices low and parts qualified. Our developed logistics system guarantees that components are available and can be delivered just in time.
