Aluminum Die casting in LED lighting industries

Die casting has proved to be an effective way to produce different parts components with different materials ranging from; copper, zinc and aluminum alloys. Die casting process ensures dimensional accuracy which requires little or no machining needed for finished goods, which in turn is economically feasible. The various properties of aluminum makes it a good metal for die casting.

Properties of aluminum materials for lighting industries

  • Lightweight

Aluminum is a very light metal, having about a third of the weight of steel, this light weight also reduces noise. This lightweight however does not in any way affect the strength of the metal, as this can be achieved by modifying the composition of its alloy.

  • Good Thermal conductivity

Aluminum is an excellent thermal conductivity which is three times greater than that of steel, this property makes aluminum an important material for both cooling and heating applications which include heat sink for LED lights and computer motherboards.

  • High Electricity conductivity

Aluminum has a very high electrical conductivity, high enough to be used as an electrical conductor this is why it is the first choice for most electrical power transmission lines.

  • Recyclability

Aluminum is 100% recyclable and when recycled is identical to the original product, which makes aluminum a more cost-effective source of material for production.

  • Non-corrosive (Very good for outdoors)

Aluminum has a natural protective thin oxide coating that helps keep the metal from making contact with the environment when exposed to air.

Die casted aluminum can be used in different applications as regards to LED lighting industries, such as:

  • Housing for heat sink parts
  • Housing for light parts
  • Coolers

Eurobalt aluminum die casting services for LED lighting industrial parts are applied in several leading markets. We meet customers demands for high-quality demands ranging from Housing for heat sink, Housing for light frame, coolers. We take great pride in our ability to reduce the manufacturing and tooling costs.
