Eurobalt Engineering offers you metal alloy die casting services. The pressure die casting technology has become widespread in metallurgical industry. The manufacturing process results in metal parts that can have different shapes and sizes, cavities, and working holes. Finished parts can weigh from several grams to tens of kilograms. The minimum wall thickness of a part amounts to 0.8 mm.
When the high pressure die casting technology is used, the material undergoes thermal treatment at high pressure. Its indicators stand at 8-700 MPa depending on the material composition and processing characteristics. As a result, molten metal can take a necessary shape. This casting technology is mostly used for manufacturing aluminium parts and other non-ferrous metal parts, which includes copper, lead, tin, and their alloys. These materials have a lower melting temperature than ferrous metals, which allows to produce the parts with specified overall dimensions.
Manufacturing parts with this technology requires using steel moulds of different shapes. When the temperature of material is 10-25 С° higher than the melting temperature of an alloy, metal is poured into the steel mould.
This type of metal casting has many advantages. One of them is high production rate and efficiency. Die casting guarantees high precision of linear dimensions of a product and its compliance with the configuration and shape specified in technical documents.
Finished parts, manufactured with gravity die casting, have a perfect relief and smooth surface.
Modern equipment guarantees high production rates and makes it possible to produce up to tens of parts in one minute.
